Esteban L. Valenzuela

Founder of the firm Esteban L. Valenzuela has been practicing law for over 30 years.  Mr. Valenzuela assists clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases caused by car accidents, trucking accidents, and defective products throughout California. 

Mr. Valenzuela is an accomplished trial attorney and has litigated cases in the Superior Courts, the Courts of Appeals, and before the Supreme Court.  He has successfully obtained numerous client awards in the millions of dollars, and his legal arguments have resulted in the creation of new causes of action for injured victims that were never before recognized by the law. 

Mr. Valenzuela is a native of California and a decorated Vietnam War Veteran.  After serving as an infantry squad leader in the United Sates Marine Corps and being recognized with the honor of distinction for his service, he came home to California and served in the Santa Barbara City Fire Department while he earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  In 1976, Mr. Valenzuela received his law degree from the University of Santa Clara School of Law.  After law school, he served as a Federal Trial Attorney and subsequently established a thriving legal practice in Santa Maria.  Today, the Law Offices of Esteban Valenzuela serves six counties from offices in the Central Coast, Central Valley, Bakersfield, Inland Empire-Riverside, and Bay Area-Oakland. 

Mr. Valenzuela is licensed to practice law throughout the State of California and in Washington D.C., and is admitted pro hac vice in various southwestern states and in Hawaii.  He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, formerly known as the California Trial Lawyers Association.  

Mr. Valenzuela is a charter board member of the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Advisory Council, where he liaised with the Sheriff's office to create enhanced protocols in interactions with the Hispanic community.  Throughout the years, he has been an advocate for positive relations between the increasingly diverse communities that make the Central Coast their home.  Mr. Valenzuela has provided pro bono services to the Elders Council of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash and remains active in the American GI Forum, raising funds for student scholarships.  He has served on many community boards and committees, and is a founding member of the San Luis Obispo County Charro Association, one of many efforts to maintain a link to California's unique history.

Mr. Valenzuela resides in Nipomo with his family.  He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Central America, and Mexico.  Mr. Valenzuela enjoys horseback riding in Los Padres and Santa Lucia regional wilderness areas and is a member of the Backcountry Horsemen of California, Los Padres Unit.  He is an avid bicyclist and has extensively toured throughout California as well as Italy, Spain, and France.
